Zaytoun
A gorgeous handwoven Moroccan rug featuring a bold, abstract design in soft olive green, warm natural cream and contrasting black. Free flowing black lines run across the field alongside irregular blocks of ivory, giving the rug an almost hand-drawn, architectural quality.
There’s something wonderfully mid-century and Scandi about this one. The pared-back palette and loose graphic design feel incredibly contemporary, while the irregularities of the handwoven pattern keep it rooted in traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. It's minimal without feeling too polished or sterile, still full of texture, warmth and personality.
Handwoven in Morocco using thick, high-quality wool, the rug has a wonderfully plush pile and luxurious softness underfoot. The earthy olive works beautifully alongside the natural ivory wool, while the black detailing gives the whole design just enough contrast and definition.
At 310 × 210cm, it’s a brilliant statement size for a living room, bedroom or creative space, and would look particularly good paired with warm woods, leather, chrome, stainless steel or more contemporary furniture.
Rich in texture and completely individual, this is the kind of rug that can quietly anchor a room while still being interesting enough to build an entire interior around.
As with all handmade rugs, slight variations in weave, shape and texture are part of its character and individuality.
In excellent new condition and ready for its next home.
