This vintage Persian Bakhtiari is bursting with colour and character. Deep oxblood reds, electric cobalt blues, soft blush pinks and crisp ivory come together in a bold, highly detailed design that's unmistakably Persian but feels surprisingly fresh in a modern interior.
The bold central medallion is framed by one of my favourite details, the iconic Bakhtiari garden border. Filled with stylised flowers, trees and botanical motifs, it gives the whole rug a playful, almost illustrated quality while still feeling timeless.
Handwoven by the Bakhtiari tribes of western Iran, these rugs are celebrated for their durability, rich natural dyes and expressive designs. Every section is packed with intricate detail, making it the kind of piece you notice something new in every time you walk past.
The dense wool pile has softened beautifully with age while remaining incredibly hard-wearing, making it just as practical as it is beautiful. Whether it's grounding a contemporary living room, adding warmth to a minimalist space or sitting alongside vintage furniture, this is the sort of rug that effortlessly becomes the focal point.
A proper forever piece with decades of life still ahead of it.
Great vintage condition with no holes or tears. Professionally cleaned and ready for its next home.
