Kian
A lovely large handwoven Persian Heriz rug, celebrated for its bold geometric design and commanding central medallion. Woven in rich tones of red, navy, pink, gold and cream wool, this piece has a strong visual presence, confident, structured, and full of character.
Originating from northwest Iran, Heriz rugs are among the most distinctive and durable of all Persian weavings. Crafted from robust, high-quality wool, they’re designed to handle everyday life and only become more beautiful with age.
This piece has a lovely, slightly rustic handle and a thick, weighty pile, giving it a grounded, enduring feel that’s built to last for generations.
In good vintage condition, with no holes or tears. There is visible sun fading across the field, softening the palette and adding to its timeworn charm, along with general light wear and a shorter fringe, all consistent with age. Professionally cleaned and ready for its next chapter.
