A lovely handwoven vintage Turkish Kayseri rug with a wonderfully earthy palette of creamy ivory, moss and olive green, muted teal, faded terracotta, aubergine and warm tobacco brown. Soft and botanical with just enough colour, this one has that perfectly mellowed vintage look that works ridiculously well in a contemporary space.

At the centre sits an intricate olive-green floral medallion, surrounded by an almost wild garden of scrolling vines, stylised flowers, leaves and botanical motifs. Rather than feeling overly formal or symmetrical, there's a lovely looseness to the pattern, with smaller floral forms scattered across the warm ivory field and larger decorative motifs framing the edges.

The colours are what really make this one. Mossy greens, tobacco and faded rust are broken up by little flashes of turquoise and deep plum, giving it an earthy, slightly 70s feel without tipping into full retro. Pair it with dark woods, chrome, leather, mid-century furniture or something super minimal and let the pattern do its thing.

Kayseri rugs are known for their fine weaving and intricate floral compositions, and Hazal is packed with beautiful little details. Handwoven in wool on a cotton foundation, the pile has softened with age, giving the rug a relaxed, lived-in finish while retaining the crispness of its incredibly detailed pattern.

A proper botanical beauty, warm, earthy and just a little bit weird in all the right ways.

In excellent vintage condition, with no holes or tears. Professionally cleaned and ready for its next home.
