Azizam
Aziza is a bold textured vintage Boucherouite runner rug, bursting with layered colour and movement. A soft neutral base is brought to life with zig-zag and checkered vibrant pops of mustard, coral, sky blue, lilac, deep navy, and earthy tones woven throughout. 🐪
Handwoven by Berber women in Morocco, Boucherouite rugs (boo-shay-REET) are joyful, one-of-a-kind pieces made using recycled fabric, wool, and cotton. No two are ever the same, each one a unique expression of creativity, resourcefulness, and everyday life.
Originally crafted for practical use in the home, to sit on, play on, or protect more precious wool rugs, these pieces now bring that same relaxed, lived-in energy into modern spaces. This long runner shape is perfect for hallways, kitchens, or layering into narrower spaces, adding warmth, texture, and a playful, artistic feel underfoot.
The design flows beautifully from dense, confetti-like texture into bold chevron bands, creating a sense of movement and rhythm across the length of the rug. It’s full of depth and detail, the kind of piece you keep discovering new elements in.
In great condition. Being handmade, there are natural quirks throughout, slight irregularities, variation in texture, and a gently worn vintage finish, all part of what makes Boucherouite rugs so special.
In excellent vintage condition. Professionally cleaned and ready for its next home.
