A richly textured handwoven Moroccan mini Boucherouite rug, defined by its earthy palette and bold, graphic composition. Woven in deep chocolate brown, warm terracotta, and soft cream tones, with flashes of vibrant colour woven throughout, this piece has a grounded, tactile presence, rustic, expressive, and full of character.

Handcrafted by Berber women in Morocco, Boucherouite rugs are resourceful, one-of-a-kind weavings made from recycled textiles, wool, and cotton. Originally created for everyday use within the home, they bring a relaxed warmth and authenticity to modern interiors.

This piece features a striking central motif framed by rhythmic bands of pattern, giving it a strong, almost architectural feel while retaining the spontaneity and charm of village weaving. The thick, shaggy pile offers a soft, cushioned texture underfoot, adding both comfort and visual depth.

In very good vintage condition overall, with no damage. As with all handmade Boucherouite rugs, there are slight irregularities in shape, texture, and colour, along with a timeworn fringe, each adding to its unique character and story. Professionally cleaned and ready for its next chapter.
