Kamel
A lush Beni Ourain checkered rug – handwoven by women of the Berber Tribes, high in the Middle Atlas Mountains, Morocco.
Thick, soft, and super floofy natural cream wool has been used to create this muted punk-like checkered design and weave within the rug. No two rugs are the same, the woven patterns and designs are very symbolic and personal to each weaver, making them true works of art.
Handmade rugs may include some irregularities, wonky edges, natural fading, and colour variations. We believe these characteristics only enhance and add to the charm of the Moroccan rug. There are no tears or holes.
How Bizarre rugs are 100% authentic Moroccan rugs, hand-selected for their quality and style. These rugs were woven with wool from free-roaming sheep of the Atlas Mountains and combine a blend of traditional and contemporary styling, ensuring high quality and longevity compared to machine-made rugs.
